Trees are said to be America’s most renewable resource. At Laser Cycle USA, we take that seriously. As proud members of Colorado’s business community, we enjoy the legacy of our local forests. Yet sadly, many of our beautiful forests have been decimated by fires, or destroyed by pine beetles. One only has to look at the grey ghosts of dead or burnt trees in an area like Colorado’s Flat Tops Wilderness area to see the extent of the damage.
That’s why we’re serious about helping restore this invaluable resource through our tree planting programs, conducted in partnership with the National Forest Foundation. The NFF has confirmed 10,000 trees will be planted in Colorado forests in 2013. These reforestation efforts will help restore watersheds, improve wildlife habitat and enhance outdoor recreation opportunities in our National Forests.
LaserCycle USA will be planting trees not only to help Colorado forests affected by fire and by the pine beetle, but also to help our customers reach their sustainability goals as part of our Paper Offset Program. This program seeks to offset the amount of paper our customers use during the year.
It’s just one of the many ways we at LaserCycle USA hold ourselves to the highest environmental standards.
